Registration information - General
Registration for the 2025-26 curling season will open on Saturday July 5th, 2025. The start date for league play this year is scheduled for Friday October 10th, 2025. The close date for the club this year will be Saturday April 11th, 2026.
Returning members have until Thursday August 14th to register to guarantee their spots in the leagues they played in the previous season. A deposit of $200 per adult member is required with your registration to hold your priority. ALL team members must be registered and have paid by Sunday September 14th. Starting Friday August 15th any remaining league spots will be filled on a first-come, first served basis.
For returning and new members wishing to play in a league that they have not played in before, the registration date of the last team member registering and paying their deposit will be used to determine priority for any available spaces. See priorities for Adults in Fixed Leagues below.
Full payment is due by Sunday September 14th. Late fees ($25) for those who have not paid in full as of Monday September 15th will be applied.
Youth may register as of Saturday July 5th. As fees for the youth program are not high full payment is required at the time of registration. All policies governing refunds and late fees apply.
You may complete payment in full by credit card at the time of registration. We will also accept e-transfers and cheques. E-transfers can be made to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and are automatically deposited from most institutions. If your institution requires a password please use “curling”.
Payments by cheque or e-transfer will only be accepted for an individual and their immediate family (spouse, child). Payments for team members will not be accepted. Please indicate clearly on the cheque or e-transfer the names of the individuals whose fees are being paid. This is especially important when making a payment for a child whose surname is different than your own.
Registration Priority for Adults in Fixed Leagues
Any openings will be filled by MCC members, followed by other individuals. The definition of a returning fixed team is a team with all 4 or at least 2 original team members from that league in the previous season. If a returning team should split up prior to the next season and want to start their own teams in the same league then the team with the most returning members on a team will have priority. If the split teams have an equal number of returning members in the league then the team which imports more MCC members from previous years has priority. Otherwise the split team with the higher number of years in the league has priority or in the case where the split team has equal number of years in the league a coin toss will decide which team gets priority for the next season. Returning teams are guaranteed their spot if each member of the team registers and pays by the applicable dates. The team’s entry is not considered complete until the last member of that team registers and pays. We encourage fixed teams and curlers to build their own teams. Where teams are incomplete, the registration committee and convenors will do its best to fill any openings with returning league members. The allocation of any open spots in a league will go to new teams ranked by the following criteria in descending order:
1. Four members from that league, from any team.
2. Three members from that league, from any team, plus a MCC member from the previous season.
3. Three members from that league, from any team, plus one person.
4. Two members from that league, from any team, plus two people that were MCC members the previous season.
5. Two members from that league, from any team, plus one person that was an MCC member the previous season plus one person.
6. Two members from that league, from any team, plus two people.
7. A team of 4 that were MCC members the previous season.
8. A team of 4 new members into the MCC.

Lockers, WYR (Win your registration) and 50/50
Members may still select WYR, 50/50 and locker rental options as in previous years.
Locker Assignments
There was a large oversubscription to locker requests last season with several members unable to secure locker space. Consequently we have introduced the following policies to address this issue as of the 2025-26 season. Firstly, this year lockers fees have been raised to $95 and sharing of lockers will be a requirement (see below). We ask that one person pay the fee and for those sharing to work out amongst themselves compensation to the member paying the fee. Please clearly indicate in the comments section of your registration who you are sharing your locker with so we can ensure this requirement has been fulfilled. If you need someone to share with please note that the membership director will assist in identifying someone from the wait list. In the event we have more locker requests than lockers available priority for locker assignment will be based on several criteria. The order presented below represents a tiered approach to determine allocation of lockers and would apply to all members.
- Requirement for sharing. If a member does not wish to share they may not receive a locker. All members must complete a list of whom they are sharing a locker with in the comments section when they register. This includes the member who will pay the locker fee and also those sharing the locker. For those indicating they are willing but do not have another member identified we will assist in finding a locker partner.
- Members in multiple leagues. Members in multiple leagues have a clearer need for a locker and will have priority over members in one league.
- Grand-fathered status. Members with the club for a number of years will have precedence over newer members in situations where oversubscription arises.
- A final prioritization step (if needed) for allocation would be the date the member registered and paid for the locker as that data is easily extracted from the database.
Registration Priority for Adult Learn to Curl
Due to the capacity issues at the club we have decided to pause the Adult Learn to Curl program for the 2025-26 season.
