We are happy to announce that the MCC Sustainability Fund has received approval as a project under the National Sports Trust Fund (NSTF). This means all donations to this project will be eligible for a charitable donation tax receipt.
We feel very fortunate to be curling, as many clubs chose not to open. Nevertheless, due to COVID-19 the reduction in club revenues will be approximately 40%. We have done all we can to take advantage of government subsidies and managed expenses very closely but we still expect to lose close to $20,000 over the season. In order that this loss not affect the club in the coming years, we are asking for your help.
As a reminder, during the preseason survey a significant number of members indicated their willingness to help the club with a financial donation. If you were one of those members, and are still willing to help in this way, you will receive a tax receipt for your donation.
Members who wish to make a donation will find this link on our website:
If you have any questions, concern or suggestions please do not hesitate to contact either of the following board members. Thank you so much for your support.
