This league is a great place to start curling at our club and welcomes curlers from our Learn-to-Curl program. More experienced curlers are welcome to participate in this league and meet new members of the club.

Special theme nights and skills clinics will be offered throughout the year. The regular draw times are 6:00pm & 8:00pm.

**Note that on occasion some special events occur on Saturday and run in place of this league. Special events which are club "fun spiels" are open to all club members including Saturday Night league members, on payment of the registration fee for that event.

Sunday Learn to Curl - Weekend

This ten week on ice program is aimed at people that have not curled before but would be interested in trying. It will cover all aspects of the game from technique and strategy to the physics of the sport.  The course will include the etiquette and the social side of curling. For $160 it is a great way to experience a quintessentially Canadian sport. At the end, there will be the possibility of rounding off the season by joining other leagues, daytime and weekend. A refund is possible, if after the first three weeks you decide curling isn't for you. It should be noted that our program does not teach stick curling.

Off ice meeting: One week before the on ice sessions, about 45 minutes.

On-ice sessions: from 5:45pm to 8pm  (be prepared to socialize afterwards).

Sunday Colts - Weekend

Teams in this league are fixed and consist of any gender combination. There is one draw at 8 p.m. from Oct to Dec and then moves to 6pm from Jan to Mar. Sunday Youth - Little Rocks (Age 7 to 12)

The Little Rock program runs each Sunday morning with three sessions:  8:45 to 10:00, 10:15 to 11:30 and 11:45 to 1:00.  All sessions are identical.  The program runs from late October through the end of March.  The equipment required is a helmet or curling head gear and clean pair of indoor only, rubber, soled, sneakers.  Special curling shoes are optional.  Each session contains a lesson and a game.  At the start of the season the lesson is longer and gets shorter during the year as their skills improve.  Following the lesson is a game in which teams are picked at random.  We encourage the youth, after a month or two of practice, to enter into spiels at other clubs to get a chance to get to know other youth curling and fully experience curling.  We facilitate the sign up and coordination of these teams.

In late September the youth coordinator will contact all registered youth to ask for session preferences.  All attempts will be made to accommodate session preferences although no promises can be made.

Sunday Youth - Bantam/Jr (Age 13 - 18)

The Bantam program runs each Sunday with two sessions:  1:30 to 3:15 or 3:30 to 5:15.  The program runs from late October through the end of March.   At this level we are working on tuning/teaching skills which require proper equipment to achieve, so the equipment required for Bantams is a curling broom and curling shoes.

Youth Competitive

No formal program exists for Juniors but practice time can be made available upon request.
